WIN/WIN MENTALITY

Win/win philosophy teaches us that the life in not competitive area, but cooperative. There is plenty for everyone and one person’s success is not being achieved at the expense of someone else’s.

If you can’t find a solution that we both will benefit from, we call it No Deal and pass on the opportunity.

To adopt this philosophy, you have to develop a character that is defined by the following qualities:

Integrity. You need to know what is your life’s mission, what are your core principles and values.

Maturity. According to Hrand Saxenian, emotional maturity – is the ability to express one’s own feelings and convictions balanced with consideration for the thoughts and feeling of others.

Abundance Mentality. There is plenty out there for everyone.Such mentality requires you to be confident in yourself, with a strong sense of personal worth and security.

Relationships. You need to build relationship of trust, where you feel safe and confident.

In order to develop a Win/Win solution you should:

  1. See the issue from another point of view. Really try to understand the other person.
  2. Identify the main blockers/concerns.
  3. Determine what results are trying to be achieved and would benefit both parties.
  4. Develop solutions to achieving those results.
