Nutrition for Performance or “Fueling”

Fueling calories are consumed just before, during, and 90–120 minutes after exercise. Fueling calories play a completely different role than the calories which make up your overall nutrition.

Nutrition for Health and Longevity

These are the calories taken in during daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The goal of proper nutrition is to provide the energy and nutrients required to keep you healthy. You should focus on clean, nutrient-dense foods such as fruits, vegetables and lean proteins as they are critical for your health and well-being. Calories taken in for “fueling” during and immediately following exercise are not part of your “nutrition”.
